Why Running Goals?

Whether you run twice a week at a 10:00 minute pace, or six times a week racking up 40 to 60 miles you are going to enjoy the run more if you set goals. What always worked best for me was simply trying to improve myself, not comparing myself or my level to anyone else. The only person you can improve is yourself, and if you do that, then you will find satisfaction in your running no matter if you are competitive or not. There will always be naysayers in every endeavor of life you attempt to conquer. Don't ever be drawn in to the doubters that are indeed discouraging. Set realistic goals, educate yourself, get around people that may be better than you (who are willing to give you positive encouragement), and find great running resources on the web that are proven to get you where you want to go.

Never set limits on yourself as to what you believe you can do. Your body will change according to the training and diet you give it. This is true for everyone.

This is my first short blog about running, I hope to write a few blogs about my own running.

Enjoy the run.
